Marilou B. Wright '68 Scholarship for Nontraditional Women

Established by colleagues, friends and family in memory of Dr. Marilou B. Wright ‘68, a nontraditional student who received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree at SUNY Cortland. For 15 years, Wright served her alma mater as executive assistant to the president and affirmative action officer, as well as by teaching courses in the English Department.

Awarded to a student who

  • is a female undergraduate
  • is 25 years of age or older (nontraditional adult learner)
  • has completed 24 credit hours at SUNY Cortland
  • has a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average
  • is enrolled full time

  • Preference given to English majors

    Renewability
    *This Scholarship is nonrenewable. Students must reapply each year

Students applying as a senior must have one full year of study remaining at the start of the next academic year or they are not qualified.
