ImPACt Applied Learning Scholarship

The ImPACt Applied Learning Scholarship rewards students whose work is not directly addressed by our other civic engagement scholarships. This scholarship’s funding was donated by SUNY Cortland’s Institutional Planning and Assessment Committee (IPAC). Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria: The student

  • Has demonstrated accomplishment, innovation, leadership, and/or longevity in
  • Antiracism work and/or
  • Civic engagement in Environmental sustainability and/or
  • Civic engagement decision-making in the area of not-for-profit agencies or government and/or
  • K-12 applied learning methodology
  • Is a matriculated sophomore, junior or senior level student in good academic standing at SUNY Cortland
  • Has a minimum 2.75 overall grade point average
  • Has completed at least one full-time semester at SUNY Cortland
  • Is enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester)
  • Has at least one full academic year remaining at the start of the fall semester of this 2020-2021 academic year
  • Has demonstrated financial need per FAFSA

Preference is given to nontraditional students as determined by the independence status per FAFSA.

Renewal Information:

  • This scholarship is a one-time award and is non-renewable.
  • Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
