Robert R. Johnson '62 Scholarship

The Robert R. Johnson ’62 Scholarship was established by gifts from Robert R. Johnson ’62 in honor of the education he received at SUNY Cortland. . It recognizes students majoring in mathematics, with preference for students in the Adolescence Education Mathematics (AEM) program who have strong interest in statistics, with outstanding academic credentials and demonstrated financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria

  • awarded to a matriculated junior or senior student level student in good academic standing at SUNY Cortland
  • with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 and a minimum 3.0 GPA in completed mathematics and statistics coursework at time of application
  • enrolled in a mathematics major
  • enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester)
  • student must have at least one full academic year remaining at the start of the fall semester of award year
  • demonstrated financial need per FAFSA

Preference

  • given to Adolescence Education Mathematics (AEM) majors

Renewal Information

  • This scholarship is a one-time award and is non-renewable
