Peter F. Eisenhardt '67

Peter Eisenhardt graduated from SUNY Cortland in 1967 with a Bachelors degree in Chemistry. He received his Master’s and Doctorate in Physical Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Florida in 1977. Peter was the Director of worldwide research and development for the joint ventures between pharmaceutical giants Johnson and Johnson and Merck, Inc. In 1995 he became the director of product development in Europe.

Although he is now retired Peter has created multiple scholarship opportunities at SUNY Cortland. Along with Susan Fish, he has created the Peter F. Eisenhardt ’67 and Susan Fish History Scholarship, the Peter F. Eisenhardt ’67 and Susan Fish Arts Scholarship, and the Peter F. Eisenhardt ’67 and Susan Fish Physics Scholarship. Peter has also created the Peter F. Eisenhardt ’67 Science Scholarship. This awards freshman and transfer students interested in pursuing Secondary Education with a concentration in Chemistry who demonstrate combined merit and financial need the opportunity to receive the same excellent education at Cortland that Peter did.
