SUNY Cortland Tae Kwon Do Team in Honor of Kristen O'Neil

Kristen was a founding member of the SUNY Cortland Tae Kwon Do team. She had attained the rank of Red Belt and was expected to test for her Black Belt in the spring of 2005. Tragically she was killed in an automobile accident in October 2004.

Indomitable spirit is all that Kristen embodied. In her training, she demonstrated great skill with a perfect mix of energy and enthusiasm that encouraged all of her teammates. The thrill of Tae Kwon Do tournament training enabled Kristen to shine and be an inspiration for others where she allowed them to also share in her abundant joy and adventure for life.

SUNY Cortland’s Tae Kwon Do Club created this scholarship in Kristen’s memory.
