Ernest D. Spainhower '68, M '78 Scholarship in Biological Sciences
Ernest D. Spainhower ‘68, M ’78 Scholarship in Biological Sciences was established by Ernie’s estate and friends in his memory, to honor him-as instructor emeritus and the contributions he made to the field. Ernie was a life-long learner of everything, and he especially marveled at the environment, spending as much time as he could outside and exploring nature. Recipients will be students enrolled in majors within the biological sciences department, with satisfactory academic achievement.Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.
Criteria:
- For full-time matriculating student(s) enrolled in any major in the biological sciences department with satisfactory academic achievement.
- Recipient will be a sophomore, junior or senior level student.
- enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester)
- This scholarship is non-renewable. Students are eligible to apply each year.
Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
