Marley Barduhn E.M.S. Award

Established by SUNY Cortland Emergency Medical Services student volunteers and SUNY Cortland E.M.S. Alumni to honor Dr. Marley Barduhn and recognize her support and advisement of SUNY Cortland EMS. Dr. Barduhn served 36 years as an advisor for the SUNY Cortland E.M.S.. Her guidance was a vital asset to the agency. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria

  • awarded to a matriculated sophomore, junior or senior level student in good academic standing at SUNY Cortland
  • has a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • is actively involved with the SUNY Cortland Emergency Medical Services
  • enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester)
  • student must have at least one full academic year remaining at the start of the fall semester of award year

Preference

  • given to those students who demonstrate dedication and exceed membership expectations with SUNY Cortland’s EMS

Renewal Information

  • This scholarship is a one-time award and is non-renewable, eligible students may apply more than once.

Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
