James Henneberg '62 Sponsored Scholarship

Established by James Henneberg in recognition of the excellent education he received at SUNY Cortland. Recipients must be Physical Education or Health Education majors with satisfactory academic achievement and demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students residing in Western New York. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semester. Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria

• awarded to matriculated continuing undergraduates at the sophomore, junior, or senior level in good academic standing at SUNY Cortland.
• enrolled full time (at least 12 credits each fall and spring semester) in Physical Education or Health Education major.
• student must have at least one full academic year remaining at the start of the fall semester of award year.
• must have demonstrated financial need per FAFSA.

Preferences

• will be given to students residing in Western New York.

Renewal Information

• This is a one time award and is non-renewable. Students may apply each year.

Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
