Sodette Plunkett Simeonidis '95 Scholarship for Political Science

The Sodette Plunkett Simeonidis ’95 Scholarship for Political Science was created to support continuing SUNY Cortland students in any major under the Political Science Department excluding adolescence education. Priority should be given to students who are interested in pursuing a law degree. Recipients must have demonstrated unmet financial need and satisfactory academic achievement. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria

  • For full time-matriculating students enrolled in any major under the Political Science Department excluding the current adolescence education major.
  • Recipient(s) must be a returning a sophomore, junior, or senior.
  • Recipient(s) must have at least one full academic year remaining at the start of the fall semester of award year.
  • Recipient(s) must have demonstrated unmet financial need.

    Preference:
  • Recipient(s) plans on pursuing a law degree as indicated in the required short answer question.
  • Renewability*
  • This scholarship is non-renewable.

    Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
