Winter Session Scholarships

The Winter Session Scholarship was established through SUNY Transformation Funding to support students completing coursework in Winter Session. This scholarship will be awarded to students enrolling in at least one course in Winter Session. Preference will be given to undergraduate students who display exceptional financial need and have not earned a bachelor’s, graduate, or professional degree. Award will be applied to offset the cost of attendance in Winter Term. Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria

  • awarded to matriculated continuing undergraduate students in good academic standing at SUNY Cortland
  • recipient(s) must not be an incoming transfer or first-year student
  • recipient(s) must not be visiting students for winter Session
  • Recipient(s) must have demonstrated financial need per FAFSA
  • Scholarship is a one-time award and non-renewable.
  • Applicant(s) are strongly encouraged to enroll in Winter Session Coursework by the 11/15 application deadline
  • Enrolled coursework must be applicable towards degree program
  • Scholarship funds are only applicable to winter session

    Preference
  • Preference will be given to students who display exceptional financial need as demonstrated by receipt of PELL grant funding.
