Janet Reust Harris ’57 M ’62 Scholarship

The Janet Reust Harris ’57 M ’62 Scholarship was established by Janet who served as a fieldwork supervisor in the Health Department at SUNY Cortland. This scholarship will benefit undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Community Health who have satisfactory academic achievement and are in good academic standing. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated financial need.

Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria

  • For full-time matriculating undergraduate or graduate student(s) majoring in community health.
  • Should there be no community health majors eligible, then secondary consideration will be given to those enrolled in any major within the Health Department.
  • Recipients must have satisfactory academic achievement.
  • Recipient(s) must be sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student
  • Recipient(s) must be enrolled full-time (at least twelve 12) credit hours each fall and spring semester).
  • Recipient(s) must have at least one full academic year remaining at the start of the fall semester of award year.

Preference

  • Recipient(s) have demonstrated financial need per FAFSA.

Renewal Information

  • The scholarship is non-renewable. Students must apply each year.

Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
