Evelyn Yetta Bitterbaum Scholarship
The Evelyn Yetta Bitterbaum Scholarship was established in her memory by Dorothea Kreig Allen Fowler ‘52, M ’74, a long-time friend of President Erik J. Bitterbaum and his wife, Ellen Howard Burton. Dorothea’s intention was to honor the memory of President Bitterbaum’s mother, Evelyn, as a tribute to the exemplary leadership he and his wife, Ellen have demonstrated at SUNY Cortland since 2003. Evelyn died in 2021, and her commitment to education and to her family is being honored with this tribute. Recipients will be incoming students in any major with satisfactory academic achievement.
