Anthony S. Papalia and Ruth Wickersham Papalia Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Anthony S. Papalia in memory of his wife Ruth Wickersham Papalia. Anthony is grateful to the SUNY Cortland community for the opportunity to serve as Director of Counseling Emeritus for 34 years, from 1964 – 1998, and for his wife, Ruth to play as Principal Harpist for 40 years in the College Community Orchestra. Awards will be made annually to continuing students enrolled in the Inclusive Early Childhood Education major with satisfactory academic achievement and a preference for demonstrated financial need.
Selection Criteria
- For full-time matriculating students enrolled in Inclusive Early Childhood Education major.
- Recipient(s) must be a full-time continuing sophomore, junior, or senior level student.
- Scholarship amount will be approximately $1,000 and will be directed to offset the cost of attendance at SUNY Cortland.
Preference - Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated financial need per FAFSA
- The scholarship is non-renewable and is awarded for one year. Students are eligible to apply each year.
