Peter C. Perkins Scholarship
The Peter C. Perkins Scholarship was established by Vice President for the Division of Institutional Advancement, Peter C. Perkins. Peter served in his role from 2015 until his retirement in 2023. Under his leadership, the College successfully completed The Campaign for Cortland – All-In: Building on Success, surpassing the $30M goal. Peter enjoyed a life-long career in higher education, additionally he served in the U.S. Air Force as a medical technician from 1976 to 1982 where he received an honorable discharge. This scholarship will be awarded to student(s) enrolled in any major with satisfactory academic achievement. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.
Selection Criteria:
- For full-time matriculating students enrolled in any major.
- Recipient(s) must be a sophomore, junior, or senior student.
- Recipient(s) must have satisfactory academic achievement.
Preference: - Demonstrated financial need per FAFSA
Renewal Information - This scholarship is a one-time award and is non-renewable. Students must apply each year.
Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
