Phylis Duke Fralick '58 and Fred Fralick '59 Scholarship
The Phylis Duke Fralick ‘58 and Fred Fralick ’59 Scholarship was established to recognize the foundational and educational experiences that SUNY Cortland provided Phylis and Fred during their careers as educators and business professionals. With a passion for higher education and learning, both went on to earn master’s degrees after Cortland, and Fred achieved a doctoral degree. The couple’s intent is to create admissions scholarship opportunities which will attract and retain students at SUNY Cortland. Recipients will be incoming students in any major. This scholarship is renewable and may follow the same student for the duration of studies at SUNY Cortland. Recipients must have satisfactory academic achievement and preference will be given to those with demonstrated, unmet financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.
Selection Criteria
For full time-matriculating students enrolled in any major.
- Recipient(s) must be an incoming student.
- Recipient(s) must have satisfactory academic achievement.
- Scholarship amount will be approximately $1,000 and will be directed to offset the cost of attendance at SUNY Cortland.
- The scholarship is renewable.
Preference: - Demonstrated unmet, financial need.
Renewablity - may be renewable, renewals are dependent on available funding as provided by the Cortland College Foundation
- matriculated at SUNY Cortland
- enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester)
- maintain satisfactory academic progress per SUNY Cortland’s published Federal Good Academic Standing guidelines
- Maximum of 4 years, 8 semesters
Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
