Marilou B. Wright '68, M '69 Memorial Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students
The Marilou B. Wright ‘68, M ’69 Memorial Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students was established by colleagues, friends, and family in memory of Dr. Marilou B. Wright ’68, M ’69, a non-traditional student who received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree at SUNY Cortland. For 15 years, Wright served her alma mater as executive assistant to the president and affirmative action officer, as well as by teaching courses in the English Department. Awards will be made annually to non-traditional student(s) enrolled in any major with a minimum 3.0 grade point average and will be presented at the university’s annual Honors Convocation ceremony. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.
Selection Criteria
- Recipient(s) must be non-traditional full-time matriculating undergraduate student(s) enrolled in any major.
- Recipient(s) must be Non-Traditional student’s. SUNY Cortland defines Non-Traditional students as: at least 24 years or older OR those students who, regardless of age, have dependent children OR have had an interruption or delay in their education since high school
- enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester)
- Recipient(s) must be a sophomore, junior, or senior student.
- Recipient(s) must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
Renewability
*This Scholarship is nonrenewable. Students must reapply each year
Students applying as a senior must have one full year of study remaining at the start of the next academic year or they are not qualified.
