Michael Emory Patton ’94 Memorial Scholarship
The Michael Emory Patton ’94 Memorial Scholarship was established by Michael J. and Reather L. Patton to honor their son, whose inspirational, short and well-lived life ended suddenly on July 25, 2022. This scholarship also celebrates SUNY Cortland for their son’s lifelong learning and long-lasting friendships that enriched his personal and professional life. Awarded to undergraduate level student(s) enrolled in any major with a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Preference will be given to New York residents with demonstrated financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.
Selection Criteria
- For full-time matriculating student(s) enrolled in any major.
- Recipient(s) may be any undergraduate level student.
- Recipient(s) must have a minimum overall 3.0 grade point average.
Preference
- New York State Residents
- Demonstrated financial need per FAFSA
Renewal Information
- This scholarship is renewable and may follow the same student as long as the student continues to meet the criteria.
Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
