George and Margaret Doolittle ’76 Scholarship
The George and Margaret Doolittle ’76 Scholarship was established to support students pursuing a career in education. This scholarship was created to honor the education Margaret received as an early childhood secondary education major at SUNY Cortland, which led to a successful career as a middle school math teacher, and to honor the memory of her husband, George Doolittle. This scholarship will be awarded to student(s) in any major leading to a career in teaching with satisfactory academic achievement. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.
Selection Criteria
- For full time-matriculated students enrolled in any major leading to a teaching degree.
- Recipient(s) must be a sophomore, junior or senior.
- Recipient(s) must maintain satisfactory academic achievement.
Preference
- Demonstrated financial need per FAFSA
Renewal information
- This scholarship is non-renewable. Students must apply each year.
Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
