Robert A. Heywood '78, M '82 Scholarship

The Robert A. Heywood ’78, M ’82 Scholarship was established by Robert, a guidance counselor for nearly 36-years in the Rhinebeck Central School District, to recognize the contributions of SUNY Cortland students who are actively engaged in campus and community volunteerism. This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in any education major with satisfactory academic achievement and demonstrated volunteerism. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria

  • For full-time matriculating student(s) enrolled in any education major.
  • Recipient(s) must be actively engaged in campus and community volunteerism.
  • Recipient(s) must be a sophomore, junior or senior level student.
  • Recipient(s) must have satisfactory academic achievement.

Preference

  • Demonstrated financial need per FAFSA

Renewal Information

  • This scholarship is non-renewable. Students must apply each year.

Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
