John M. Martens ’83 Scholarship

The John M. Martens ’83 Scholarship was established by John to support aspiring professionals in law enforcement and community service. After more than 35 successful years as the owner and operator of his own business, John fulfilled a lifelong dream by embarking on a second career in law enforcement. This scholarship reflects his deep commitment to helping future students pursue the same calling that inspired him later in life. This scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in criminology with satisfactory academic achievement and a preference for demonstrated financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria

  • For full-time matriculating student(s) majoring in criminology.
  • Recipient(s) must be a sophomore, junior or senior level student.
  • Recipient(s) must have satisfactory academic achievement.

Preference

  • Demonstrated financial need per FAFSA

Renewal Information

  • This scholarship is non-renewable. Students must apply each year.
