Mary Lee Martens Scholarship
The Mary Lee Martens Scholarship was established by Mary Lee Martens, professor emerita of education and foundations and social advocacy. Mary Lee enjoyed a distinguished 39-year career in education, teaching a range of students from elementary school to college. This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in any major within the childhood and early childhood education department with satisfactory academic achievement. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.
Selection Criteria
- For full-time matriculating student(s) enrolled in any major within the childhood and early childhood education department.
- Recipient(s) must be a sophomore, junior or senior level student.
- Recipient(s) must have satisfactory academic achievement.
Preference
- Demonstrated financial need per FAFSA
Renewal Information
- This scholarship is non-renewable. Students must apply each year.
Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
