J.C. Polanco, Esq. M ’26 Scholarship

The J.C. Polanco, Esq. M ’26 Scholarship was established by Juan Carlos to honor the faculty of the SUNY Cortland History Department for their lasting impact and mentorship. As the founder of Polanco Law PLLC, Juan Carlos currently serves on the faculty of Mount Saint Vincent University teaching Business Law and at CUNY Borough of Manhattan Community College teaching Business and History. This scholarship will be awarded to students majoring in history with satisfactory academic achievement and preference for demonstrated financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.

Criteria

  • For full-time matriculating students majoring in history.
  • Recipient(s) must be a sophomore, junior, or senior student.
  • Recipient(s) must have satisfactory academic achievement.

Preference

  • Demonstrated Financial need per FAFSA

Renewal Information

  • This scholarship is non-renewable. Students must apply each year.

Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
