Excellence in English Scholarship
The Excellence in English Scholarship was established by Susan and James P. “Jim” Murphy ’78 to support English majors in achieving their academic and professional goals. Jim’s own undergraduate passion for literature inspired his English major at SUNY Cortland. Although he built a successful career in sales, he deeply values the foundational education and experiences he received at the university.
