Ellen Kahn Masters '67 and Stuart Masters Scholarship

The Ellen Kahn Masters ’67 and Stuart Masters Scholarship was established to recognize the foundational and educational experiences that the College provided Ellen to launch her professional career as an educator. The scholarship will support SUNY Cortland students whose passions lie within teaching. The scholarship will be awarded to a full-time, matriculated student in any major in the School of Education. Preference given to students enrolled in Early Childhood and Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 6). This scholarship is renewable and may follow the same student for the duration of studies at SUNY Cortland. Recipients must have satisfactory academic achievement. A preference will be given to those with demonstrated, unmet financial need. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.

Selection Criteria

  • For full time-matriculating students enrolled in any major under the School of Education
  • Recipient(s) can be an incoming or continuing student
  • Recipient(s) must have satisfactory academic achievement.
  • Scholarship amount will be approximately $1,000 and will be directed to offset the cost of attendance at SUNY Cortland.
  • The scholarship is renewable.
  • enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester)

Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.
