Donna Bell Traver '59 'Malalah' Scholarship
The Donna Bell Traver ‘59 ‘Malalah’ Scholarship was established by gifts from Donald L. Traver ‘59 and Donna Bell Traver ’59. This scholarship is to honor Donna Traver and her belief in education and equality. The award is intended for a young person in financial need with satisfactory academic achievement who exemplifies the courage and determination, despite overwhelming odds, to acquire an education. This recipient also has the potential to be a fearless leader who will work for educational rights for all and to be an inspiration for others much as has the teenager Malalah Yousafazi, of Pakistan who became an education and women’s rights activist. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability.
