Peter F. Eisenhardt '67 Learning Community Award

Established through gifts from Peter F. Eisenhardt ’67. This award recognizes the top student in a Learning Community and does not require an application. Award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Funding is based on availability. No application required. Students are nominated and selected by committee.

Selection Criteria

  • awarded to a matriculated sophomore, junior or senior level student in good academic standing at SUNY Cortland
  • is the top student, based on merit; participating in the learning community: Happiness and Society, World First, Earth and Environment, Philosophy and Education, Our Wild World
  • has achieved a minimum 3.3 grade point average within the learning community
  • has continued to have consistent positive contributions to the learning community experience
  • has demonstrated integrity, leadership and creativity
  • enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester)
  • student must have at least one full academic year remaining at the start of the fall semester of award year
  • has demonstrated financial need per FAFSA

Renewal Information

  • This scholarship is a one-time award and is non-renewable

Scholarship funding is determined by the Cortland College Foundation. Scholarship amounts and availability are subject to change.

Recipients are invited to attend Honors Convocation which takes place in April.
